Another wonderful windowful! Chris Kenny has it for August and September and he’s filled it with a selection of his twig works. Constructions with found twigs, set on pins and all beautifully framed in acrylic boxes or in his own handmade wooden boxes.
There are seven figures on the front line, all with cryptic titles and all very photogenic. They call out to each other from their perspex cages.

Twigs provide the lines for suspended drawings so that nature and artist share the draughtsmanship.
The drawings comprise: abstract, generative works that grow from a single line into an unexpected composition; organic translations from the works of other artists; twig figures found among the branches, presented singly or in groups.
The stretching, yearning character of twigs brings to mind the human body in extremis, in agony or in ecstasy.
Many of the figures come from the @twigsaints project, a saint cut from a branch posted daily on Instagram, now in its tenth and final year.
