At this time of year I always remember Lowell George and the line about ‘mysterious wisteria’ from his song 20 Million Things.
There are cascades of wisteria all over town right now. I seem to see them everywhere I go. The first photo above shows a wisteria just around the corner in Bedford Gardens on composer Frank Bridge’s old house. The next photo is two wisterias in Aubert Park at Highbury Barn, and the photo below is a wisteria on a house in Delancey Street, Camden Town. They are all south facing and all festooned with the fragrant scent of wisteria blossom in memory of Lowell George.
