Art For Cure
Art for Cure is an exhibition I am involved in along with over 50 other artists. It’s going to be a really exciting exhibition and it’s raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Return To Hampstead Heath
Rembrandt returned to Hampstead Heath last November, back home again to Kenwood House after a holiday whilst the decorators were in. Self Portrait With Two Circles travelled to New York, Houston, Milwaukee, Seattle and Arkansas whilst Kenwood House was closed for over a year for maintenance work. A Tenuous Link
These tiny cows are the missing link between Susie Freeman and Jelly Green. I can imagine them displayed in knitted pockets (Captive Friesians) or portrayed with bright and lively brushstrokes (Captivating Herd). I borrowed the photo from Eva the Weaver.
I AMsterdam
We took a half-term weekend break to Amsterdam. It seemed like the city was being relaunched and rebranded/rembrandted. The Rijksmuseum reopened in April following an unprecedented 10 year renovation, the Stedelijk Museum reopened last year after a 9 year refurbishment, and 2013 marks 400 years since construction began on the city’s iconic canals. The Moo Man has appeared before on Frames of Reference but now there’s a proper trailer we couldn’t resist another look.
In an attempt to save his family farm, Stephen Hook decides to turn his back on the cost cutting supermarkets, and instead stay small and keep his close relationship with the herd.
Cornucopia!
Jelly Green‘s paintings of cows can be seen this weekend alongside Jason Gathorne-Hardy’s drawings of sheep at White House Farm, Great Glemham, Suffolk. Their exhibition is part of Cornucopia!, one of the fringe events at this year’s Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival.
